Peace of mind

Hellow everyone and welcome,
Usually I create posts on my blog on health related issues, but
to-day I have made a shift to such an issue which is very subtle and every one is eager to achieve it and that is mental peace.

Peace of mind is a mental state where there are no worries,fear or stress. Here the mind is quite and composed and it becomes full of happiness.

There are many people who enjoyed this mental state in the past
doing some absorbing activity. It may be reading a book being
completely absorbed.This can happen when you are in deep sleep and you are not aware of anything. Such activities or similar ones, take away the mind from its usual thoughts,worries
etc., replacing them with peace of mind but it lasts for a while and we enjoy it till it is there. One may think, whether it is possible to enjoy it always. There are certain things you can practice to get more peace in your life and on regular practice,
you will attain the ability to experience it oftenly.

To attain mental peace,you should adopt and avoid some habits.

Meditation is the only way which can make your mind cool and composed. If you dont like spiritual meditation - dont do it, but
you can do it as a mindfulness practice so as to calm  your mental activity down. All you need is 20/30 minutes mindfulness
meditation. If you are really serious about inner harmony. it is
important to avoid certain media distraction at any cost.Avoid
certain types of movies I.e., horror, thriller etc.
Reduce television time for greater benefits.Avoid viewing tv news as 90% of it is negative. Stop listening to agressive music.
Avoid being involved in a heavily emotional discussion if this
cannot solve any problem.
Stay away from negative people and negative conversations.
Learn to accept the things that cannot be changed. You should
learn to forgive. It is important to realise that you cannot make
the things that happend undone.Holding on to anger will only
burn you from inside.
Past haunts us all from time to time. Thinking about everything
that happned and the mistakes we made in the past over and over again will cause big turmoil within our mind,So it is always
advisable not to dwell on the past.
Learn to be patient. In our daily life, we come across people who
do things that are disapproved by us. In all cases we get fed up
with their behaviour and that causes an angry storm within our
mind. Learn the skill of not being offended by everything and
everyone.
You should not worry about what others are thinking about you.
Dont do anything just to please anybody.It is impossible to be
everybody's darling. Actually, you cannot change the way others
are thinking about you. So why bothering about it. The ability to
be not affected by other people's opinion will greatly help you to
find peace in daily life.
Peace of mind can be obtained by practicing the skill of not
being affected by your thoughts and worries. This skill can be
achieved by mindfulness meditation and other activities that
strengthen your capacity to focus. It is also important not to dwell on the past and also to forgive others and to develop certain degree of detatchment in order to create the necessary
ground for inner harmony and balance.
