Hi everyone!
To-day, I am humbly attempting to write a post on mind. During last two days, I tried to find out the definition of mind.
It was really hard to find a definition that one can understand easily without having any knowledge of philosophy/psycology
subjects. I am now giving below one such definition which I
hope, you will understand.
The mind is a set of cognitive faculties including conciousness, perception, thinking, judgement and memory. It is usually defined as the faculty of an entity's thought and
consciousness. It holds the power of imagination, recognition
and appreciation and is responsible for processing feelings and emotions resulting in attitudes and actions.
Whatever it's nature, it is generally agreed that mind is that it
enables a being to have subjective awareness and intentionality towards their environment, to perceive and respond to stimuli with some kind of agency and to have
consciousness, including feeling and thinking.
Above is indicative of how hard it is to understand mind as a
whole. The mind is an abstract thing which is extremely
powerful with unlimited speed and capable of taking decisions and acting on it in a fraction of a second. This is so
powerful that one should know how to control one's mind.
This is so powerful that it can make you both famous or
infamous. As I don't want to make it long any further to be
vexing, I would like to conclude here for today. I will come
before you with another post on mind and brain, and till such
time, bye from me.
My thanks and regards for you all.
Kalyan Ghosh.
